Chet Wood
CEO & Chairman, Deloitte Tax LLP

Chet began his career with Deloitte U.S. in 1981, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has worked in offices across the U.S. and abroad. During his first year in the SLC audit practice, Chet was placed on a tax rotation. He enjoyed the work and met with his advisor, Jim Quigley (then a young manager, now the CEO of DTT) and requested a transfer to the tax practice. At this early stage in his career, Chet got to see the complete tax picture, working on returns for a wide variety of clients and industries. Chet found this work fascinating and expressed his strong interest in a fast-track progression.
